Holmsø Boligresorts – A Safe and Active Community for Adults Aged 55+

Holmsø Boligresorts offers a unique housing concept for active adults aged 55+, featuring free access to a pool, spa, steam room, salt therapy, fitness centre, café, gymnasium, and other exceptional facilities – all included.

The Holmsø Boligresorts are being developed in central, desirable locations across Danish towns, offering easy access to cultural attractions, shopping, public transport, and green spaces. One of the resorts is under construction in Herning, comprising 120 Low-E rental homes, ready for move-in from spring 2025 – just a few minutes’ walk from local grocery shops and the scenic nature area of Knudmosen.

The resort is designed for active adults aged 55+ who seek a safe and social everyday life with the perfect balance of community and privacy. Modern rental homes are combined with attractive shared facilities such as an orangery, workshop, spa, and exercise rooms – providing the framework for a life in motion and harmony.

All homes include underfloor heating, triple-glazed low-e units, and a ventilation system with heat recovery. Interiors feature durable laminate flooring, high-quality kitchens, and modern appliances – including a pyrolytic oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Each home has a 5 m² balcony, while ground-floor units enjoy their own private terrace.

Focus on Sustainability

Holmsø Herning is being built to the DGNB standard, based on the use of long-lasting, energy-efficient materials and a healthy indoor climate. Charging stations for electric cars, bikes, and scooters are being installed, and the central location makes it easy to opt for sustainable transport.

For the project, Glaseksperten has supplied 530 external balustrades made from 55.2 toughened laminated glass in solid-coloured bronze.
